Traffic Study

For this traffic study, I sat at the entrance to a well known shopping center in Macon, Ga. I recorded as much information as possible about each car that drove into the shopping center, including make of car, type of car, number of occupants, age (subjectively old being older than 10 years), and color. The relevant information on car use is seen in the chart below.

When my family first moved to Georgia, my Midwestern parents were enthralled by the climate and the wildlife. During the summers, my sisters, mom, and I would ride our bikes to a small point a mile away from our house that was largely undeveloped. We would sit on the rocks out by the river and watch dolphins playing in the water. For us it was new, exciting, and magical. Over the years, more and more houses have come to the point, and our family excursions have dwindled.
